Abstract

Objective To analyze the effect of Juedu gongjian decoction on quality of life and upper limb lymphedema in patients after modified mastectomy.

Methods: A total of 60 patients with breast cancer who had upper limb lymphedema after modified radical mastectomy and admitted in Hospital of Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February, 2017 to February, 2018 were enrolled in current study and were randomly divided into the Observation group and the Control group according to the random number table method. The patients in the Control group were treated with conventional treatment, and those in the Observation group were additionally treated with Juedu gongjian decoction. The clinical efficacy and life quality were compared between these two groups.Results: The total efficiency for clinical treatment and quality of life score in patients in the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group. Conclusion: Juedu gongjian decoction can improve life quality and the clinical efficacy on upper limb lymphedema in patients after modified mastectomy.
