Background: To investigate the clinical effect of memantine hydrochloride combined with carbidopa-levodopa sustained release tablet on motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease. Methods: 45 patients with Parkinson’s disease receiving treatment of memantine hydrochloride combined with carbidopa-levodopa sustained release tablet in our hospital from September 25th, 2025 to December 25th, 2025 were included as the study group, and 45 Parkinson’s disease patients treated with carbidopa-levodopa sustained release tablet were included as the control group during the same period. The clinical efficacy, adverse reactions, and changes of motor symptoms and serum indexes before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of clinical efficacy in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, UPDRS-Ⅲ scores and levels of IL-1β, IL-17, Hcy, TNF-α and MDA were decreased in both groups, and were lower in the study group than the control group (P < 0.05). The levels of SOD and GSH-Px in both groups were increased, and were higher in the study group than the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in gastrointestinal reaction, lethargy, dizziness, headache and postural hypotension between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Memantine hydrochloride combined with carbidopa-levodopa sustained release tablets has good clinical effects in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease through reducing motor symptoms, inhibiting inflammatory response, improving oxidative stress, etc., with good safety.
